I have a number of photos that I would be willing to send someone if they would like them. A few of them are attached to names on the web site. However, we are currently scanning a number of ones now and I'll post some of the names when we get them labeled. For now I have :

I'm looking for anything that will help fill out the genealogy I have posted on the web. Post here if you have something you would like to share or send me an email. |

Here is a photo taken 4 Jul 1915 and written on the back is " H.G. Thompson (50 years old) Birthday Dinner.” H.G. Thompson would be Horace Greely Thompson, b. 4 Jul 1861 who married Margaret Winslow d. of Seth Winslow b. 1825. I believe the location was just east of Salem, Indiana near the town Canton. Is there anyone you recognize?

OK, here's a few guesses to get you started.
Back Row:
3 from left Wiley Porter Winslow
4 from left Brady Winslow ?
8 from left Albert Winslow
11 from left Prichard Winslow
Third row from Back:
11 from left H.G. Thompson and wife Margret Winslow
15 from left Minnie Reyman with Blanch on her lap
21 from left Benjamin Franklin Winslow |

This picture has my great-granduncle Brady Winslow standing in front of the fire engine. I have no information about the other people in the picture or where or when it was taken. However, my great-granduncle looks like he is in his mid thirties and he was born in 1878. A guess would be 1910-1920. There are two other words on the back of the photo; Lafayette – Purdue. This could be names of people in the picture or maybe the street corner where the picture was taken.

King's Chapel Burying Ground, Boston, Massachusetts.
John Winslow died 21 May 1674
Mary Chilton (Mayflower passenger) died c. 1 May 1679
I can't get the picture to upload... You can click on the button "www" just below this message, which will take you to a site I have online. Click on Photos on that site and the tombstone is listed under CHILTON. |

Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful photos. My husband noticed the fire engine's steering wheel is on the left side, so it has to be English made. Please everyone share all the pictures you have. Even if they are not our direct family THEY ARE OUR WINSLOW'S.

I did some digging and this is what I came up with:
----------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Griffith,
We have the same photo here at the Lawrence County Museum of History. It is dated 1914 and shows Bedford’s first fire truck at the corner of 15th and “M” Streets in Bedford. I would be interested in knowing the size of your photo. It appears to be in better condition than the one we have in our collection.
