After the death of Barnabas, Josiah and Seth drove to New Boston, Ill., and brought the family back. They followed the Old Indian Trail through Terre Haute, Champaign, Bloomington, and Galesburg. There were few homes of settlers along the way. Frank and John made their home with Seth & Jane until the Civil War, which they joined. After the war they went to New Point, Mo.; later they moved to Lebanon, Kansas.
